After six weeks on a 1500 calorie-per-day diet and four weeks on the Power 90 weights and aerobics program, here’s my progress:
Days on 1500 Calorie Diet: 44
Days on Power 90: 36
Weight / Pounds Lost: 211.0 / 11.0
Body Fat / Percentage Down: 26 / 4
Mental Clarity: Maximum
Energy: Maximum
Again, I’m absolutely delighted with these results. Remaining faithful to the exercise program has been easier than I ever suspected it would be. I also can’t stress this enough: the numbers don’t tell the whole story. My waist is smaller. My blood pressure is lower. I don’t wheeze and struggle for breath any more. In short? My quality of life has increased.
Perhaps more importantly, my habits have changed. I eat differently now — I’m no longer consumed with consumption. I can have four or five bites of cake and be perfectly happy … I don’t feel a compulsion to eat all of the huge slab a waiter brings. When I do want a cheesburger, I have one — a real one, not some fast-food clone — and I adjust my intake throughout the rest of the day to accomodate that choice.
A good sign: just as we were inspired by a friend’s success, yesterday an acquaintance of Clyde’s said he had ordered Power 90 in hopes of seeing similar results for himself.
So: now we’ll see how a trip to Australia impacts our results. We’re taking Tony and the Power 90 crew along on our vacation, and planning to stick to our routine as much as possible.
Exercise and diet on a vacation? Absolutely. Plus, I’m looking forward to doing Power Yoga on a clothing optional beach.
