It’s unusual for a town the size of Jackson to have a locally-owned vegetarian restaurant, but Jackson does: the High Noon Cafe.
Though it closed some time back, the restaurant’s been “reorganized.” The High Noon staff now promises faster service — a good thing, since lunch at the old High Noon could be difficult to do during a hectic, limited lunch hour.
Menu items include everything from tofu cacciatore over angel hair pasta, vegetarian pepperoni pizza, and walnut raisin carrot cake. (If budget’s an issue, you can also get a plate of red beans and brown rice for under $3.50.)
The joint re-opens this coming Friday, March 19th, and will be open Fridays only until the crowd catches on well enough to justify expanding the hours.
Why not show your support for one of Jackson’s truly innovative restaurants and stop in this Friday? Tell ’em Mark sent ya. (They won’t know who I am, but it will be really cool if a bunch of poeple show up saying, “Mark sent me,” you know?)
