Residents of Midtown Atlanta were startled this past weekend to see the skies filled with bright, mysterious lights. While I walked Chelsea up 12th Street, these five glowing orbs hovered over the unfinished Lowe's complex at 12th and Juniper.
Okay … so they're not alien vehicles — but the lights were there, and the photo above hasn't been retouched.
The truth: last weekend's heavy fog rendered the bodies of two huge construction cranes invisible — except for their downlights, which were transformed into massive glowing orbs by the moisture in the air.
