Food Companies Can’t Guarantee Safety

Increasingly, the corporations that supply Americans with processed foods are unable to guarantee the safety of their ingredients.

The supply chain for prepared foods has become so complex, the megacorporations that sell them to us rarely know where tainted ingredients come from — or even what the tainted ingredients are.

Rather than own that failure, they’re making this a consumer issue: “You didn’t get sick because we sold you poison food. You got sick because you didn’t cook it long or well enough to kill the poisons we put in it.”

Eat local. Eat simple. Make stuff from scratch.
