The Heidelberg Project

The Heidelberg Project

The collapse of the US auto industry and the bad economy have left huge swatches of downtown Detroit derelict and deserted. Enter The Heidelberg Project: an urban artist’s commentary on his community’s state of decay. Houses decorated with thousands of sun-bleached stuffed animals, painted with polka-dots, garnished with garbage — all arranged according to a logic and perspective that dances just outside the observer’s grasp.
