On the flight up to Detroit, Clyde deliberately booked us on a Delta flight with the new business class full-recline seating, just in case our upgrades came through.
And they did! Listen: we’ve flown far and often, but this was my favorite flight ever: feet propped up, seat reclined, massage mode activated, and my trusty iPad in my lap. Each seat puts you in your own little “room,” with just enough space to lie flat down and zone out completely, if ya like. The only downside: Clyde complained that we were too isolated, and wished that the seat design would make it easier for us chat and hold hands. Awwww. It does my heart good to know that, nineteen years into this relationship, being right next to me is more important to him than extra-comfy seating!
