From the shady patio to the novel twist on Southern breakfast favorites, everything pleased us at the Cafe Highlands.
We booked via Open Table (we had a large party and didn’t want to wait) and tucked right in to lemon and ricotta cheese pancakes and Nashville hot chicken biscuits (perfectly spiced):
Even the grits were respectable (and given the grits situation in this town, that’s saying something):
Tip: you can park in the lot for the Highland Inn — if you can find spaces — for free. But even if you have to park on a side street and hike here, the breakfast is well worth the trip. We’re adding this one to our “once every two weeks or so” list — and so should you.
