Great vid. Looks nice and smooth. I just got a ZS3 and having video issues. I’d like to ask how you processed the AVCHD file? It looks quite smooth while mine always look somewhat jerky. Or are you using the .avi movie option when recording video. Thus far I’ve been copying the .mts file to my hard drive and converting it to h.264 avi at 30fps. But still looks jerky. Any info would be great. Thanks!

I shot the clips in the ZS3’s HD/MTS mode. In VLC, even the MTS plays back very smoothly.
Before uploading to Vimeo, I pulled the raw stream clip into iMovie, then “shared” (or exported) it with the highest-quality (HD-TV) setting iMovie offers. That’s the file I uploaded to Vimeo.
I’m seeing smooth playback on all devices, including my basic white MacBook.
Before installing Snow Leopard, HD footage would occasionally “skip” when played back full-screen. (They would look fine when played in smaller windows.) If you’re seeing something similar, you might upgrade to Snow Leopard (if you’re a Mac user) and see if you see any difference.
