My favorite moment today — a bright spot during an otherwise tiring van ride through obscure parts of outer Bangkok.
This lady at the floating market was making 20-baht (fifty-cent) pancakes from a coconut-infused batter. So light! So crisp! So warm and fragrant! After she cooked ’em up on the griddle, a friend with a basket on a long pole served them to the crowd on the riverbank … then collected the money and delivered the change, as necessary.
