– In line for the trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower, we watch a young boy make his way through the line, running his tongue along the handrails.
– Also at the Tower, I finally got to do two things I didn’t get to do last trip: go to the very top … and kiss Clyde there.
– We stop at an Internet cafe, where we discover that French keyboards use a different letter arrangement: Suddenly, instead of typing hundreds of words a minute, I’m reduced to hunting and pecking again!
– After a Seinne cruise, we shiver in the cold evening air and share a steaming waffle topped with liquid chocolate.
– We collapse into giggles when Clyde misunderstands what a tour guide says about the flooded river’s water level rising, back in 1910, up to a particular statues’ “teats.”
– We stroll the Pigalle district to get a glimpse of the famed Moulin Rouge. Reality can’t live up to the fantasy of the movie…but we do get offered lap dances by fifteen different touts outside the districts’ various sex shops. (We passed.)
