Jolly Good Time

Jolly Good Time

Back from England and Scotland!

Thanks to a hectic travel schedule, I’ve just returned from the longest MadeByMark break I’ve ever taken — almost two full weeks. Even though I took my faithful Dell Computer along for the ride (it made for a nice digital photo repository), I barely touched the keys. Frankly? I think I needed a break from the PC and a vacation in the Real World.

England is wonderful … and, with the Pound worth two bucks, London is a very expensive place to be just now. A cross-town cab ride doesn’t sound bad at ten pounds … but at twenty bucks a pop, transport costs add up quickly.

Top Moments on this trip include (in no particular order):

– Riding the London Eye.
– Attending Evensong at Westminster Abbey
– Taking photos at Madame Taussaud’s Wax Museum
– Seeing the Rosetta Stone at the British Museum
– Scaling the battlements of Warrick Castle
– Wandering through Shakespeare’s birthplace
– Drinking a cup of steaming chocolate while touring Oxford
– Eating two incredible meals at Ando’s, a swanky Italian restaurant
– Shopping at Harrod’s (with about five billion other people)

More details to come … and photos, too! Check back soon!
