We wake this morning to the news that Saddam’s long flight from American justice has ended. NBC cannot show often enough the grainy, flickering footage of the shaggy, unshaven dictator. Commentators, who, after spouting headlines have little else to say, love repeating that the man was “captured — so symbolically — hiding at the bottom of a hole.”
Saddam Hussein Captured
We wake this morning to the news that Saddam’s long flight from American justice has ended. NBC cannot show often enough the grainy, flickering footage of the shaggy, unshaven dictator. Commentators, who, after spouting headlines have little else to say, love repeating that the man was “captured — so symbolically — hiding at the bottom of a hole.”
After reading such well written and entertaining stories, I feel intimidated writing this email to you. I can only express my gratitude and delight and only wish I could do it with as much eloquence as you have been gifted with.
After many “ah-huh”‘s, “oh yeah”‘s, “mmm”‘s and hysterical laughter emanating from the study, my husband could no longer contain himself, the intrigue was too much to bear.
“What IS that you’re doing in there?”
“It’s Made by Mark”
“What is?”
“What I’m doing in here”
The intrigue rapidly waning, he shakes his head and leaves me to continue relishing “Made by Mark”.
A wise person once told us, “The way to keep a marriage successful, is to wake up in the morning and ask yourself ‘What can I do to make my partner happy today?'”
My Husband realised that whatever it was that I was doing, made me happy. And so left me to revel in my own (and your) delight.
