After four weeks on a 1500 calorie-per-day diet and three weeks on the Power 90 weights and aerobics program, here’s my progress:
Days on 1500 Calorie Diet: 30
Days on Power 90: 22
Weight / Pounds Lost: 214.0 / 8.0
Body Fat / Percentage Down: 26 / 4
Mental Clarity: Clearer, sharper than ever
Energy: Maximum
As noted in Progress II, these numbers don’t tell the whole story. My clothes fit me better than ever; in fact, this Sunday, my newest (and fattest) pair of dress slacks were almost too big to wear.
The best news of all: my sky-high blood pressure is dropping steadily. On the heaviest dosage permitted of my blood pressure drug, the lowest reading I could achieve was 145/85 — on the extreme high side of normal. I’m still on the big dose of Norvasc, but with exercise added, I’m seeing 130/75. Soon, I’ll have to lower my dose!
I just wish I’d started this years ago.
