On PRN, I hear a Viet Nam veteran say, “If George Bush decides to go to war, I hope he’ll do two things. First, give us a clear goal — something we’ll know we’ve achieved when we reach it. Second, start with the end in mind. We’ve all seen what happens when we go to war without having these two things in place.”
George Bush then addresses the nation, proclaiming a “War on Terrorism.” He tells us we must “stamp out all evil.” He says we will win this war when there is “no more terrorism.” He goes on to say he has no idea how long this war will last, but that we are committed to fight it until it is over. He says he does not know how long that will take.
