As of today, I’m half-way through my six-week commitment to a weight-loss experiment based on Tim Ferris’ 4-Hour Body Plan.
I’m pleased to report that, as of this week, I’m down to 217, for a total weight loss of 13 pounds. In the first two weeks, I dropped about five pounds a week — a rapid rate of weight loss I didn’t expect to maintain over time. The three pounds lost during Week Three are closer to my long-term per-week expectations.
Once again, though, the real story involves more than the weight! During Week 3, I lost a total of four inches from my thighs, hips, belly, and neck. Three weeks ago, my waistline was forty-two inches; today, it’s forty. And my neck has dropped from just shy of 18 inches to 16.75.
Frankly? The progress is surprising even me, especially given how much I’m eating on a daily basis. The steady diet of lean meats and veggies is doing all the work; for me, the process remains pretty much effortless!
