May not look like much from the outside, but Motz Burgers Is the kind of local joint where the staff not only know customers by name — they know how many sugars they like in their coffee. (Joe, who just got off a shift at the factory and sat by me, likes four.)
They are also super-friendly to new arrivals, which was good news for us. After grilling us up a juicy King Mott Burger laden with onions and cheese, they even recommended local joints for dinner (Slow’s Barbecue won high praise, as did Giovanni’s Italian, “if ya don’t mind it bein’ a little pricey.”)
Their reputation for the best burger in town is well-deserved. This is the kind if good, honest burger Americans crave — nothing gourmet or fancied up, nothing trendy: just delicious beef, seasoned right, and paired with a sesame seed bun for good measure. Add onion rings and a frosty Coke — heaven!
